YOUNGSTOWN The Mahoning County Coroner has identified the body found Sunday in a wooded area on East Myrtle Avenue as 40-year-old Richard Allen Rayford.
Youngstown Police and Campbell Police are investigating after the body was found in a field on Youngstown's south side.
The media release states that the cause of death will be investigated by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's office.
21 News spoke with neighbors who said a body was found in a yard on E. Myrtle Avenue near Erie Street around noon Sunday.
Police were called after a foul smell was reported in the area.
There's no word yet on how the man died or if any foul play is suspected.
